Peanut allergen reaction thresholds during controlled food challenges in 2 Canadian randomized studies (Canada-ARM1 and PISCES)

نویسندگان

چکیده

Food allergy affects millions worldwide.1 Vigilance by affected individuals and families is necessary to prevent accidental ingestions, allergic reactions, anaphylaxis. Understanding the minimum amount of food allergen that elicits a reaction—thresholds—in susceptible paramount inform safe practice, manufacturing, public health policy.1 Thresholds can also how optimize challenge schedules, advise patients about potential for design desensitization approaches.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Basophil allergen threshold sensitivity, and peanut allergen components in relation to DBPCFC in children with suspected peanut allergy

Methods DBPCFC was performed with increasing concentrations of peanut allergen (1 mg to 5 g of peanut) in 42 children with suspected IgE-mediated peanut-allergy. Blood samples were taken for analyses of CD-sens and quantification of IgE-antibodies to peanut and Ara h 1-3, 8-9. Basophils were stimulated in vitro with peanut allergen in descending doses until the threshold sensitivity was reached...

Monitoring peanut allergen in food products by measuring Ara h 1.

BACKGROUND Peanut allergy is an important health problem in the United States, affecting approximately 0.6% of children. Inadvertent exposure to peanut is a risk factor for life-threatening food-induced anaphylaxis. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this investigation was to develop an immunoassay for a major peanut allergen, Ara h 1, to detect peanut allergen in foods so that the risk of inadvertent ...

Development of a Monoclonal Antibody-Based Sandwich ELISA for Peanut Allergen Ara h 1 in Food

We have established a highly sensitive sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) based on two monoclonal antibodies (mAb) to measure the content of the major peanut allergen Ara h 1 in foods. Two mAbs were selected out of 12 murine hybridoma cells secreting Ara h 1-specific antibody. Using mAb 6 as the capture antibody and HRP-labelled mAb 4 as the detection antibody, the limit of dete...
